Jeff is looking for sponsors.  Any sponsors out there?  You can find more pictures of him here.  His wife, Jamila, is the photographer.

I went out for a walk to get some shots, and met Jeff down near Tompkins Square Park. His only request was that I send him some photos.

Many of you know Patric, and many might have already seen these photos.  Here they are again, I’m posting them for a few reasons:

1:  Missing my Pal.

2:  I don’t have anything new I feel like posting today, and…

3:  I wanted to take the opportunity bring up a point.  And yes, it all come back to Annie Leibovitz;

In her book, which can be found by clicking the portrait of Annie on the sidebar of this page, she gives many pieces of advice for young photographers.  One that I have truly taken to heart (clearly), is “stay close to home.”  She says the best subjects a young photographer can have are the people that are closest to him/her.  So, yes, you see more photos of Melissa than you could probably ever hope for.  Patric has also been a wonderful subject of mine, and if he would only come back to New York, you would be seeing much more of him (hint hint).  I couldn’t wait to go home a few weeks ago so that I could shoot my family.  Due to scheduling, and unforeseen airline delays I only got photos of my mom, but fair warning; Dad, Alex, you’re next.

I need to thank everyone that has allowed me to photograph them.

Thank you.

We took a cab home from uptown around 230am.  I fell asleep on the trip, and woke up to Melissa asking the driver to stop at the McDonalds around the corner from home.  Monopoly is almost over and no amount of trans fats will deter her from the $50,000 that she knows she will win.  On our one block walk home is when these photos were taken.

And just for reference. I think she did a damn good job (with the majority of what she’s wearing being my clothes).  If you haven’t seen this movie, do yourself a favor and put it on your Netflix queue.

It’s been a crazy week folks.  New Job, rehearsals, shooting, and Uruguayan fundraiser parties.  Next week is looking to be even more busy, so bear with me.

Thank you to everyone to continued to visit this week, the numbers still blow me away.  Tomorrow’s shoot with Will is going to be fun, so make sure to check back on Monday for some updates.

Everyone, have a great weekend.  And remember there’s only one more week for McDonalds Monopoly.  ; ) *

* Don’t ask why I know that.
